the 2n3904 emitter to base breaks down at about 8 volts. But my 2n2222 starts conducting from collector. Also, I think I need two 2n2222's as a darlington pair, to amplify the signal enough to trigger the Tip35c.. The relay is because the signal up to that point is not a square wave...

pendulum drive coil and trigger mechanism, also energy pickup coil.

The small coil has diodes that stop electron flow as small trigger magnet passes thru it... But when the pendulum begins to fall, current is induced that triggers the 2n2222 transistor, which triggers toe 2n3055 which pulses the coil and pushes the pendulum.
